WTTW | WFMT

As a multiplatform public media organization, WTTW|WFMT are committed to and excited about the emergence of new technologies and digital broadcasting, and are preparing the organization for the future with an increased emphasis on alternate platforms as a way of distributing content and – in particular – localized content. In keeping with that local focus, WTTW|WFMT are also dedicated to finding ways to extend their relationship to the community. The Sales Team leads the way in aligning underwriters with premier PBS television and classical music content on WTTW11 and WFMT 98.7FM.

Projects

Check Please Pics Segment - Season 18

For Season 18 of Check, Please! I sourced user photos from our hashtag, #checkpleasepics, on Instagram and edited them into the format you see on the screen below. Recognized in the credits: Assistant Producer.

WTTW Healthy Tips

The Healthy Tips segment airs every Saturday during the cooking block on WTTW and WTTW Prime. With the help of a colleague, I project managed the healthy tips from concept to production to delivery. I also researched health concepts and provided scientifically-backed data to our copywriter to form the scripts.

WTTW Kids Fun food fest

The Fun Food Fests inspire children to discover healthy eating through singing, dancing and sampling in a free, 90-minute live show! I designed the logo using a mix of open stock images and elements I made from scratch in Adobe Illustrator and created a suite of promotional assets for print, social and digital.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

One of the most rewarding parts of working at WWCI was the ability to go out into the community and engage directly with our viewers and listeners. Some of the events I volunteered at were Nature Cat Girl Scout events, WTTW Kids Grandparent Connection, WTTW Kids BIG IDEA Traveling Lab, and Grant Park Music Festival, 57th Street Art Fair, Thirsty Ears Festival and so many more.
